Alfonso is Twittering some interesting stuff in my ears. He says a new version of Oneil touting Linkback support and improved printing options is close by. Watch the download site.

Also he tweets that owners of Mori get the future Pro version for free.

Seems good news to me.

$99/$199 for the next version is not reasonable. The Pro price is $50 more than Devon Think Pro and user's wallets will do the talking. As it is there hasn't been an update to Mori in a long, long while ... recent comments on MacUpdate indicate people are already moving away from Mori. I really like the product, but no way is any notes manager worth $99 for the basic version. I'm going to keep an eye here, but if the $99 price point is official I doubt I'll stick around. I'd say a $49/$99 is about right.

I'm really curious: which applications in the 100 US$ realm do you compare Mori to? All I can think of (Macjournler, Voodoopad, Yojimbo ...) is 40 US$ or *less*.

Hi,
well, I am looking forward to see the new developments coming out… I wonder though what features will be in the "pro"-version to justify the price. Even though it will not be my problem personally, having a Mori-licence I think this is a lot of money. I can understand you interest in raising your net-income significantly, it (the higher price) might properly signal to play in another legue…

You might be thinking about Devon-products as a comparison to Mori and indeed there are some things not (yet) possible with DTP which are with Mori, still I wonder how you will be able to fare against a company with many more programmers, a big sales-department and advertizing-team. DTP 2.0 is supposed to come forward soon… Mori in general is much more flexible than DTP BUT looks much less polished, on the other hand DTP is "Aqua" but this is supposed to change with DTP 2.0.

Well, as I said, i am looking forward to see new and improved and stable bug(less)free stuff coming.

Greetings,

Rolf
