I already have Control+Space reserved as a universal shortcut for another accessory. I don't think it makes sense for starting or stopping a timer. Changing/committing time values should be dynamic and not require pressing Return or Enter. Meanwhile, the current start/stop shortcut is Command+Return, not Enter at all.
