hangs on updating spotlight

HI,

I am trying out Mori and loving it! Are there limitations to the trial version? When I empty the trash, it begins to update to Spotlight, but gets hung up so I have to quit the program. What's happening? I'm on Tiger 10.4.10

Tiger and 1.6.10

This is a well known issue (at least with users):

You're better off running 1.6.9 or earlier on Tiger. The indexing for Spotlight changed in 10.5, so 1.6.10 works better there, and older versions work better with Tiger.

downgrading to earlier version

Thanks for your help. I've never had to downgrade a program to an earlier version. What's the best way to do it? I don't want to lose anything I entered into the current version!

I'm not sure how 1.6.9 will

I'm not sure how 1.6.9 will handle the 1.6.10 data file (can't remember if I reverted, or used a saved copy).

I would save a copy of your data file before you start - that way, if 1.6.9 doesn't like your 1.6.10 file, you can reinstall 1.6.10, export the data, and reload it into 1.6.9.
