I thought it might be useful to find out wht hardware people use Merchant Wizard on.
We used to run a g3 imac 400mhz as our main pos machine. we also has an emac in the back. after a move around of furniture etc, we now have the g4 emac out the front.
If we were to increase the number of machines, I'd prefer to be able to use old g3 imacs as I actually have a couple spare, but otherwise they can be picked up very cheaply, and as a POS machine they do not need to run anything else, and Merchant Wizard isn't image heavy or anything. The hurdle is that these machines cannot run leopard.
I also have a G4 ibook that I use if we are out and about anywhere, and a MacBook running leopard that I used with it this weekend.
I have a usb barcode scanner connected to the main POS machine (emac), which is also connected to a cash drawer via an Epson TSP600 receipt printer, a samsung b+w laser printer, and a dymo labelwriter.
I have a flic barcode scanner that I'd like to be able to use for other tasks.
What does anyone else use?
