Clear formatting doesn't seem to remove hyperlink underline?

Tags ( )

I'd like to remove the hyperlink underline (since I sometimes need to copy and paste from it with the carrot which is easier when I don't have the hand cursor.)

Highlighting and going to text -> clear formatting doesn't remove the link. It's still there as hyperlink and I want it in plain text.

Is the entire link selected?

Selecting the text around the link and clicking the "Clear formatting" menu item in the contextual menu or the "Text" menu (shift-cmd-C) should clear all formatting, even the hyperlink associated with the text.

It still doesn't seem to

It still doesn't seem to work for me

I have the following in a file and I can't get it to clear the formatting. The foo@whater... is underlined as a link:

scp target/admin-tool.war foo@d2npp.foobar.com:/npower/dev/d2npp.foobar.com/jboss-3.2.6/server/nppadmin/deploy/
scp target/admin-tool.war foo@d2npp.foobar.com:/npower/dev/d2npp.foobar.com/apache-tomcat-6.0.18/webapps
scp -r /Users/rick/java/jboss-3.2.6/server/npowerplus foo@d2npp.foobar.com:/npower/dev/d2npp.foobar.com/jboss-3.2.6/server/
