Curious, is work still being done on Oneil?

Navigating this apokalypse site isn't that user friendly, not sure where to find out how the work is coming along on Oneil?

Mori is not dead

I beleieve Mori is not dead. Work is being done, even if it is very quiet here. Check Huperniketes on Twitter, follow his posts and ask him how things are going.

Who knows what's going on?

Who knows what's going on? Obviously not much. Here's what Alfonso wrote in early Feb 2009:

". . . I've since changed my philosophy on my communications with you, and the progress to be made when issuing new releases. Now, I'm trying to monitor often, and respond immediately to forum postings, emails, tweets, IMs, etc.

However, doing this means I can't remain in the "flow" necessary for working on large changes to the system. So, no longer am I going for the opus magnum, or large feature upgrade change in order to release new versions. Now my focus is to make little feature additions which will get improved incrementally over time. This way you'll see new releases more often, and be able to gauge the changes that are occurring.

. . . . The internal drama is over. Now it's time to focus on the adventure."

Hmm . . . well you can see how he's been responding "immediately" to forum postings. As for incremental updates? There was a beta release of 1.7 in February (I believe) and nothing sense. By the way, 1.7 was originally promoted by Alfonso to be released at the beginning of July 2007!

The adventure surely continues, I just doubt it's one that most users thought they were buying into.

large feature upgrade change [sic!]

Mitchellm, your post was so right on. Nothing about Mori is handled "immediately". Look at the date on these forum posts.

Curious statement from Alfonso, quoted here: "No longer am I going for the opus magnum, or large feature upgrade change".

Someone should tell Alfonso that "opus magnum" is a solecism. "Magnum opus" is the accepted English version (though in this case the truth would be more like "parvum opus" or "opus ignotus". "Large feature upgrade change" is about four words too many to say one thing, but let that go.)

The point is, Alfonso shouldn't be throwing fractured classical tags around if he wants to preserve his reputation as a person with some credence (even in Clearwater, Florida), along with a reputation for reliability and expertise. And he DOES want those kinds of reputation, doesn't he?

Waiting for Jessie (and his "flow") to return, and the Hog Bay way with it.
