Description
A method for extremely quick outline folder and note creation from an outline:
1. Create a note
2. Add entries in the format:
- Item
- sub item 1
- sub item 2
- item
- another sub
- a sub folder
- another sub item
- third sub item
etc.
3. Click a button or menu item to have the outline above automatically made into folders and notes
It would be nice if various methods could be used to determine where nesting occurs. ie. tabs, styles, numbers... If it could do it based on styles or numbers then this would be an excellent feature for anyone who already has a document that they want to add the Mori. Just paste it into a note and watch it magically get split into manageable chunks.
It seems like this might be an Apple Script kind of thing but I'm unfamiliar with it at the moment.
Updates
If anyone is familiar with auto-titles in Mellel, that would be the kind of thing I'd love to see in Mori. I think that is basically what patjohnson is getting at.
Maybe this is too involved, but I hope not. Mellel has an outlining pane, where you can choose styles for each level, so you could have 1,2,3 at level 1, then when you indent you can have a,b,c at level 2, etc.
At the very least, we need some kind of keyboard shortcut for using lists.
Actually, my previous post should probably be a separate request, since I'm just talking about using lists, but I couldn't edit it. So I also request ability to edit these posts.
