This feature will get rid of the Metadata folder, thus, making Mori files smaller. This request is only to turn off Spotlight to the entry level. Spotlight will still find Mori files.

i am confused by these posts. The problem seems to be with terminology.
the request is to turn off spotlight search for 'metadata'. Search results are clutted, especially with large mori files, with finds for 'morientry's which only return metadata, opened by Apple's Property List Editor (by default). I assume it is these finds that are switched off in Mori's general preferences. However, in general preferences, the option states: 'allow entries to be found.'
So if this option were to be de-selected, could the title of each 'entry' as created by the users, and the text string inside, entries still be found, and revealed in Mori when selected and clicked to open, or not? So, is it really only restricting 'allow metadata to be found'? I imagine so. In that case , the wording in the preferences should be changed, in order not to confuse a normal person (not someone like me who tries to figure this out). Because for months I didn't switch it off, but the searches in spotlight bugged me, as i am ususally concerned with writing commentry and fiction in plain english, and took Moris's wording at face value. I am only now going to switch it off and see if I am right. I shall have to erase spotlight's index too, I beleive.

This is the correct cmand to erase completely the spotlight index:
sudo mdutil -E /
To run this command individually on volumes replace '/' with '/Volumes/YourDiskName'.
