Description
Restore the ability to have the notes pane in vertical format. This was a winning feature for me in HBN. Screens are wide these days, not tall.
Updates
as someone who came to Mori after HBN was out, I have no idea what this would look like
Mori had three panes. Right now there is a horizontal divider between the entries view pane and the text view pane. This request is asking for the ability to change that divider so that it's oriented vertically.
I couldn't agree more with the original suggestion to restore the vertical pane. HBNB allowed me to organise a book with chapter folders on the left in one column and the text on the right in another column. I could see the layout for the whole book and still work on the current chapter. It was one of the main reasons I chose Notebook. I know you've got a lot of work on, Jesse, and more power to your elbow, but for the moment this one is a deal-breaker from my point of view.
Yes, I requested this feature a long while back at least twice. I too find it highly useful and desirable to be able to organize my db this way. I can see so much more of the text field, and for folders that have lots of entries, it's great to see them listed vertically. I hope this is something that makes it into Mori at some point (soon would be nice, but I know there are other priorities). It's not a deal breaker for me, but this and having a simple text view are the two things that keep me tied to HBN for some uses. I'd really love to be able to switch to Mori altogether. Less is more when it comes to work flow, at least for me!
