Description
Notebook could convert between file and folder items. I did not find that function in Mori.
This is extremely annoying as it forces you to think about structure before creating items.
Updates
I think the solution is to just make one or the other within ones outline.
I suppose by "one or the other" you mean to only use folders. Of course this isn't a solution, but it got me thinking what the differences are. In Notebook folders showed up in the drawer and files didn't. With Mori the only difference seems to be that the folder icon doesn't show that there's text in the note pane...

It seems that the distinction between these things is artificial. I think converting between one and the other is not the right approach - it's probably best to either unify the concepts into one, or to figure out what the crucial differences are and differentiate them.
So let's collect. I like that folders can be double-clicked in search results to show their contents. I like that the file icon shows whether there is a not or not (http://www.hogbaysoftware.com/node/988). Children of files have a dot for an icon, which may help to indicate an entry's importance in search results.
Already a lot of differences that are in the way of unification. I'm still for a way to convert.
Yes they are very similar, but will stay distinct. In Hog Bay Notebook 3.0 I unified them, and it wasn't a popular decision. And anyway at this point I like them better separate anyway. But yes adding I can add back converting between folders and files.
