The context menu item is present but doesn't work in 54 nor 55.

This is a bug, I've fixed it internally and it should work in the final 1.2 release. Thanks for finding and reporting it.

It's not a replacement for the reveal item contextual menu, but one way to quickly find the location of smart folder items is to use the footer. You can show it under the View->Layout menu, and it will very quickly allow you to see item's location, and one click will bring you there in the outline structure. I find it very useful as a adjunct to smart folders.
