July 16, 2010 - After the Fall Oneill 1.7a19

• Approximately 40 sets of changes differ between the last code repository I worked on before the crash and the one I recovered, which was from before the release of 1.7a18; so this list of changes is incomplete.
• Updated the General preference pane.
• Holding down the control key now creates link(s) instead of copying content when the mouse button is released at the end of a drag-and-drop operation.
• Handles closing LinkBacks better.

June 15, 2010 - When You Say Nothing At All Mori 1.7a18

• Continued migration of content views to modular (plugin-based) system.
• Developed a work-around for a bug in which Core Data reported a notebook was already open.
• Continued separation of the code which manages the outlines; how they're displayed, changed, etc.
• Created new code infrastructure to represent data in entries, pasteboards, etc.
• Created new mechanism to handle data translation between Mori and external applications (for now).
• Entries can be copied and pasted in more ways, both in outlines and notes.
• LinkBack-client support added. For realz, this time. Saved docs now reload with LinkBacks intact. Select multiple LinkBacked items and begin edit sessions for them by clicking one menu item.
• Most image files have their content embedded into notes using the new architecture: PDF, TIFF, GIF, JPEG, PNG, BMP, JPEG2000, PICT, AppleICNS, ICO, QuickTimeImage, Adobe Photoshop PSD, and Adobe Illustrator AI.
• The same applies to several text document types: RTF (and Flat RTF), SimpleText, plain text, HTML, Microsoft Word and Safari’s WebArchive.
• Items dragged into notes keep info related to their originating files, so you can double-click them and have them opened in their default editor or viewer application (similar to LinkBack). Changes aren't yet reloaded into notebooks in this release. However, they will be in an upcoming one.

• This release incorporates broad and deep changes to Mori's memory handling behavior.
• It has been a very long and painstaking process to change every part of it.
• The normal warning not to use betas with important documents is doubly reaffirmed.
• Various menu-building patterns were formulated into Blocks classes.
• Outline navigation code patterns were forumulated into simplification methods in preparation of continuous outline text.

• Found and replaced several references to the old text entry object. (Crashing bug)
• Added code to load the default system icon for those types of documents whose icons are lacking in Mori.
• Removed behavior that changed location of metadata files used for Spotlight and SearchKit.
• Added ability to notes to accept dropped links to other Mori document entries.
• Switched printing code back to original behavior of printing (only) the currently selected entry.

• Fixed feedback (by removal thereof) regarding unaccepted drops of entries which cannot be joined before user releases.
• Fixed failure to copy all URLs dropped at once into an entry.
• Fixed failure to make entries from all URLs dropped at once into the source or entries views.
• Added files to types of data accepted from services.
• Restructured copy-and-paste and drag-and-drop related internals.

• Fixed oddness in Edit menu under Leopard.
• Restored icons which got removed from project file.
• Fixed inverted icon images bug.
• Icon images now scale to fit.
• Fixed functional and cosmetic issues in pop-up menu in entry header.
• Cleaned up some error reporting matters dealing with localization and functionality.
• Added real, workable multi-line row support to the source and entries views.
• Made label rendering in source and entries views support multi-line rows.
• Fixed buggy implementations of plain-text versions of make/append entry service.

• Added initial support for tabular data: CSV
• Added check whether Mori has active plugins for file types before attempting to import them.
• Revamped toolbar handling code -- postponed recovery of old settings (from previous versions) feature.
• Added feature to permit user to customize an entry's icon.
• Fixed tag editor in Inspector's entry tab.
• UI for Column visibility is now a context-sensitive menu like iTunes: control-click (or right-click) on table column headers.
• Inline editing functionality currently disabled.
• Latest housekeeping stuff.
• Added Dutch localization work by Thijs Zandwijk.

December 31, 2008 - Mori 1.7d08 - Belated Holiday Wishes

• Multi-line rows is in operation. There is a speed issue (not having it), and a horrible display bug when adding characters to a multi-line row, but the text displays correctly once edits are done.
• Users can now set different font styles for source and entry lists. Currently this setting affects all docs being displayed.
• Notes can be zoomed in and out either via a pop-up menu on the footer, or through the new "View > Zoom" menu (and corresponding shortcut keys).
• Users with MacBook Airs, and late 2008 model MacBooks and MacBook Pros can use gestures to zoom in and out as well.
• Users with a 3Dconnexion SpaceNavigator can use it zoom in and out as well.
• Various internal changes.
