Preferences not written before program termination

I installed the most recent version of TrackTime, installed my license and starting adding new projects and activity templates (approx. 1 hour spent). Sometime after, and possibly during the enabling of the Web Log, the product crashed, and when I started it again, all my projects, and activity templates had been erased.

As I recall this is exactly why I stopped using the program the first time - the crashes basically wiped out all my projects so I was forced to start over.

Duplicate Project Templates

When I create a new project, it would be very useful to be able to have the same "Activity Templates" already available to me, by allowing me to either create a copy of an existing project that has the templates I like, or allowing me to select from a list of known "Activity Templates" when I add one to my new project.

Organzing and Sorting Projects

When you add a new project, there is no way to sort your list of projects. The simplest idea would be to allow users to move the project within the list, creating a manual sort.

Secondarily, and related to the Project Category ticket, allowing users to create "folders" and group projects into folders would be very helpful for organization of many projects that are related.

Project Categories

One thing that would be very useful is to build categories of projects, so for instance I could have Consulting as a top-level cateogory, which would include a list of paying customers, and Research as another cateogory which may include some exploratory self-funded projects, etc.

Keywords per project may be sufficient for this, but the overall goal would be to allow users to see a timeline per cateogory rather than per project. This way I could see how much of my time was being spent on paid work vs. free time, etc.

Statistics don't clearly show the boundaries for the time period

A customer had difficulty changing the period for the displayed statistics. It remained within February and didn't display March, nor gave sufficient feedback that it was displaying Feb only, that there was March data, and how to go about changing the time period.

Display totals for activities

As a result of overlapping activities, or activities/projects spread out over several days, it becomes necessary to stitch together the times of several entries.

A way to present the entries with totals within a given time period would improve the ability to review/understand how one's time is spent.

Possibility to resume a task

I often work on different tasks at a time and often have to change between them because I had to support people. As a result it would be helpful to open an already stopped taks again. At the moment I had a long list e.g. with "editing videos for client a" and had to calculate the total time by hand or another application.

Another solution would be to create a mastertask with the total time, e.g. "editing videos for client a" with subtasks tracking the time. this would be the coolest solution.

all the best for your business,
